Wisdom for Christian Stay-at-Home Dads and Working Moms
Hey there!
We're Matt and Kelly, and we're big fans of stay-at-home moms and families where both parents work. We've been in both of those situations and turned to lots of books and resources for help when we were. But what really stands out for us is our twelve years of role-reversed bliss when Matt took on the stay-at-home dad role and Kelly was the family’s breadwinner. It was a wonderful time, but let's be real, it had its challenges. In Christian circles, we often felt like we didn't quite fit the mold or, at times, like people thought we were going against biblical teaching. We didn't know anyone else in a similar situation to talk to or learn from, or even any books to help. So, we are currently pulling together information to share with you if you are or are interested in the role-reversed life!
These days, Matt (ThM, Dallas Theological Seminary) is a pastor, and Kelly (MBA, Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and MPA, Harvard) juggles being a stay-at-home mom to their two teenage daughters with part-time work for her consulting business. As a family, they enjoy the outdoors, movie nights, and traveling together.
